Welcome Back,

Summer seems to go to quickly and we are back into the swing of things.  7th & 8th grade are big turning points in school and our kids.  It marks about the 1/2 point of the their education in the public setting.  It is also a time when their bodies really seem to start changing into young adults.  I ask patience with your kids, as they begin becoming more responsible of themselves and beginning to try to be more independent.

There may be times that they will succeed & fail. I ask that you are proud of them when they succeed.  I ask that you let them fail and see how you can turn it into a learning experience for the next time.  Nothing in these class is so bad that they will not have a chance to get back on the right track.  Sometimes learning to fail make us better for when we do succeed and makes us enjoy succeeding so much more. You have to learn how to fail and not to be afraid to fail to become successful.  If a person never fails then what did they actually learn, and how much do they really enjoy it.  So if they fail be supportive and help them find ways to change their habits to become successful.  It will be painful at times, but in the end it will make them much more prepared for the future.  Look at all the great people out there.  I can guarantee they have a failure story to tell and it was what really changed them for the better.

We are going to have a great school year and we will learn and grow to become an amazing person who is ready for the real world.  We don't want them to grow up, but at sometime it is going to happen so we must give them the best chance to succeed and you getting them here it is a challenge and thank you for sending me your kids and in trusting me to help them become better.
